All About Portugal. Aimed at pre-schoolers, Mishi and Mashi go to Portugal accompanies two sisters on their journey through Portugal, noting famous landmarks and and typical foods.
Portuguese History. The Miracle Dogs of Portugal is a historical fiction picture book about Henry the Navigator and his Portuguese Water Dog. A Long and Uncertain Journey: The 27,000 Mile Voyage of Vasco Da Gama traces Da Gama’s quest across the seas and A Map and a Mule: A Peace Story of Queen Isabel of Portugal depicts scenes from Queen Isabel’s reign in the Middle Ages. All of these are good choices for elementary-age readers.
